Online Reputation Management

Over the last few weeks I have had a few people reach out to me about their name when searched online. Everyone searches the name they were given as a child. One of the best things you can do is to not get arrested. That being said there are a free other things you can do is to own your one name and presence online.

Do you have a private Facebook page? Usually the answer is yes. Do you have a public Facebook brand page? If not create one. Then make that public and post things that you would be proud of. There are many sites out there that you can build a profile on to build a good brand name for yourself.

There are many ways to own your name, set up a blog, social profiles, social media postings and so on. The issue is that if you have a negative posting that you are trying to get rid of. If you have a negative listing I strongly suggest that you ignore it, responding it’s like throwing a gallon of gas on a small fire, it will explode on you.

The best thing you can do with a negative posting is to push it down with positive posts or sites that will help you.
